Origin & Quality

During the blossoming period of the sweet chestnuts, the bees collect the nectar for this characteristic honey. This creates a special type of honey with an intense aroma and distinctive taste.

Each harvest may vary slightly in color, flavor and consistency. These natural differences are typical of natural honey and underline its uniqueness.

The taste

Sweet chestnut honey is one of the most aromatic types of honey. Its strong character with slightly bitter and spicy nuances makes it a popular choice for those who prefer intense flavor profiles.

Usage

Sweet chestnut honey is ideal for:

• As a spread on bread

• With cheese platters and antipasti

• For refining dressings and marinades

• For tea and other hot drinks

• For cooking and baking

Storage

Store dry, cool and protected from light.

Honey can crystallize over time. This is a natural process and not a quality defect. The honey can be liquefied again by gently heating it in a water bath.
